The staff of the East Texas Playoff Preview want to congratulate the Kerens Ladycats, the Tatum Eagles and the Grapeland Sandies as they have advanced to the State Tournament. The Ladycats took the Runnersup trophy in Class A D1 Girls.

Want to say a special thanks to all of the schools who participated in the 2014 East Texas Playoff Preview and ETPP Holiday Classic. It was a huge success even though we had quite a few schools pull out due to injuries and playoff game scheduling. We would like to encourage more schools to take part in this event and help promote our schools that are going into the playoffs and provide the student athletes with the big crowds and big venues and playing in the big games.

The Playoff Preview relys heavily on this event to fund the ETJS scholarship fund. The higher profile warm up games generate large crowds which support the ETJS scholarship fund.

Currently, the East Texas Playoff Preview is considering adding a site further down south. More details will be made available as decisions are made.

The 2015 ETPP will be on the following dates:

GIRLS: Feb. 13-14

BOYS: FEB. 20-21 I

The ETPP would also like to thank Edward Merritt of the law firm of Harbour, Smith, Harris and Merritt as a corporate sponsor for the 2014 ETPP. On December 29 - 31, 2014, the ETPP will be hosting a Holiday Tournament for both Boys and Girls at LeTourneau University in Longview and a site close by TBA. This is primarily for 3A thru 6A. Private schools will also be considered.

In 2008, the East Texas Playoff Preview was formed and the first event was held at the University of Texas at Tyler. Since then, the event has had to expand to multiple sites to accommodate all of the teams wanting to play in this event.
